The room, hotel etc was lovely! Our only complaint is that the room got very hot at night. Otherwise, superb!

My main issue was the incredibly noisy floorboards above our room (I’m not sure if it’s staff accommodation up there) which were loudly creaking through most of the night making it extremely difficult to sleep. The bed wasn’t the biggest double either but we would have coped with that much better had we had sufficient quiet to sleep.

Best stay in windermere so far and we go to a lot of hotels. The pool access 8am-8pm made it even better especially having children with us.

Well maintained hotel in great location close to lake shore and a lovely walk into the town of Bowness. Staff were overall very friendly and facilities good. The pool was smaller than we had thought but well looked after and warm. Rooms comfortable while fairly small family rooms. Lovely area to sit out and enjoy evening sunshine. Breakfast was reasonable. We had dinner in the hotel one night which was fairly average in all honesty, while reasonably priced.

The hotel is set in a stunning location with excellent links to main roads to get across the Lake District. Ambleside is around a 15 minute drive away, and Keswick 30 minutes via car. The outside seating area has a stunning view over the mountains, and a very calm atmosphere. The room had a rustic mountain lodge feel to it, although cleanliness was somewhat lacking however, considering the hotel is dog friendly, the facilities were well maintained. The swimming pool was a nice addition however again, the changing areas could have done with a clean. Breakfast was okay, there was both continental and cooked options. Plenty of seating areas in the restaurant to eat. A good time window between 7am and 10am for Breakfast!

Stayed in an Annex room with a patio. Very nice and comfortable, although quite near a road junction so some noise, but not too bad. The Annex has some more parking spaces if main Hotel car park is full. Hotel location is good, with a nice view. Food is quite good, we ate at Hotel restaurant every night as it was reasonably priced. The hotel pool is nice, we swam there a couple of times. You get the evening sun shining through the windows. We walked to Bowness one day, but a bit far to do every day. Staff were pleasant.

Room was very spacious and had a kettle with coffee/teas and sweets. Bed was comfy and breakfast was tasty with full English breakfast served every day as a buffet. Check in and check out was quick and scenery around was incredible. The swimming pool was also great.
