The breakfast was exceptional, so much choice, cooked to perfection and really tasty. It was the best breakfast experience we had ever had. The hotel has a breakfast award and it is well deserved.

Anita & Bobby were exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The establishment is oozing with homelyness,charm and character on every floor and wall. Our room was absolutely beautiful,spotless,and decorated in style. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom really modern and again spotless. Facilities in the room,were so well thought out and considerate for anyone staying here. Little fridge with complimentary milk and water. Coffee pod machine,biscuits and chocolates. The breakfast room was such a lovely haven to eat in every morning,charming to a tea( no pun intened)it really was. The best thing was the breakfast menu. Mind blowing cooked meal choices and always fresh fruit,yoghurt,pastries etc if you want a lighter breakfast instead. Thank you Anita& Bobby for the Prosecco for my partners birthday,that was a generous thoughtful gift. Definitely be staying here again!

Best bed and breakfast I have stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few. Breakfast excellent choice both for veggies and not. Hosts helpful and knowledgeable about the area and nothing was too much trouble. Everything so clean and rooms well equipped with coffee machine kettle and lots of tea bags of every variety and fresh milk in a little table top fridge.

Fantastic location. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Room was perfect, well decorated and with lots of attention to detail. Each room has its own tea making facilities and a coffee machine. There was also complimentary chocolates and biscuits and the small fridge was perfect for the complimentary milk and water. Breakfast was outstanding! Excellent value for money.

It was absolutely gorgeous. It was warm, cozy and the room was fantastic with an En suite bathroom that was enormous! The area was quiet so sleep wasn’t a problem. Rob and Anita were wonderful hosts and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a bed and breakfast or hotel. Home cooked food at its very best. Everything was just superb.

The friendly welcome, very comfortable bed, quiet location, parking, fabulous shower and superb breakfast. It was our second visit and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Whitby.

Breakfast was excellent. Best range of options we've seen in a long while and between us we had some very nice breakfasts. Beds were comfortable, great shower and hosts very friendly and helpful. Abbotsleigh is just a few yards from the Cleveland Way which we were walking on so definitely recommend for walkers on that route. Also easy walk downhill to the centre of Whitby. Bit of a hill coming back up of course but not a problem (and there are buses of you wanted to avoid that)

Abbotsleigh was clearly a Home from Homw place to stay in Whitby. Only a short walk into town, and every afternoon the ‘cake fairy’ left delicious home baked biscuits and cakes! Delicious. The freshly cooked breakfasts were fantastic too. Paul and Sharon are the perfect hosts and it is great they want to share their beautiful home with us all.
