This was a quick stop for us between Bay of Islands and Coromandel. We were right on the road but noise wasn’t a big issue. Couldn’t recommend a long stay but good for our purpose. Bar/restaurant staff were great.

Staff were a 10 very helpful. Room was an older room on ground floor but I liked the higher ceiling and thicker walls made it feel more like a home. Hotel connected served a beautiful pizza for me $18nzd and very nice fish and chips for missus $32 nzd.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good location. Great that we were on the grounds of an inn which served drink and food. Had a nice meal overlooking the river.

Stayed here several times. Restaurant always excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. The rooms are cosy. This time we stayed in No 7 suite and it was beautifully renovated. Ideal for 4 guests. Look forward to our next stay. Very convenient To Matakana and beaches although we used as a base to Auckland.

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We didn't try the restaurant as we had our own food with us, so we also didn't get to sample the dinner.
