Amazing staff going above and beyond in all aspects. Unfortunately we weren't able to use the room that was booked, but they more than made up for it and made it the perfect stay - thank you to the team for your amazing service. Especially Ashley who did everything she could to make it a stay to remember!

We had a 2 night break, the location is excellent within walkig distance of the town centre and access to Burghley Park. Good parking. The staff were excellent, especially Bella who organised a change of rooms with less stairs. Millys restaurant was good, staff very helpful good breakfast , varied menu. Room comfortable nice toiletries and good shower. Fresh milk and plenty of tea and coffee making facilities. Overall an excellent stay.

The room was comfortable; the breakfasts were good and the staff attentive to a problem we had with an open and rattling window putting it right as soon as we mentioned it. It was also a nice touch to have a fridge in the room. The hotel is located close to Burghley House and is in fact walkable if you're fit and don't mind a 25 minute or so hike across the estate bordering the back of the hotel. Being so close to Burghley does mean the hotel is on the very edge of Stamford so is a good walk into the town which, by the way, is delightful and worth it. The hotel is also very close to the train station and walkable directly from a lane parallel with the track leading onto Wothorpe Road and thence Church Street.

Location. Ideal if you had a dog. Great walks in the fields behind the hotel. 10 min walk into town. Staff are excellent. Food is good.
