The staff at the George are amazing and made our stay memorable with their attentiveness and friendliness. The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and all public spaces carry an old-world charm, making them tasteful, comfortable, and cozy. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated, clean, and provided nice quality toiletries. The bed was very comfortable, with possibly the most comfortable pillows I've ever experienced in a hotel. The breakfast menu offered a fabulous choice, using quality ingredients. I would absolutely recommend staying at the George.

History, atmospheric, beautifully decorated for the season, has plenty of cosy nooks to sit and log fires. Lovely food and lots of friendly efficient staff, very well organised morning coffee brought to room included. Location near Burghley Park and Stamford’s lovely shops and buildings ideal for a short break.
