Location and view is amazing! A little bit outside but to stay connected to the center is easy (Motor-Taxi, busses). Santa Teresa is very close. Nice and Safe neighborhood. Tiny stores all over the "Favela", all daily necessietes available. Nice area with bars and Restaurants in Santa Teresa close to the pousada (10-15 minutes walk). Very quite and a good place to calm down and relaxe, after encounter the wild City of rio! Recommendation: for a longer stay in Rio, use the quarter of botafogo first to do all the touristic sightseeing in south rio and than change to the pousada to relax and See a different side of this amazing city!

An incredible place to stay with one of the greatest views you'll ever get! Don't be intimidated by having to walk into the favela - it's perfectly safe and everyone is very friendly. The only slight downside is that it is a mission to get back up there if you're downtown. You just need to be patient with getting a cab, or use the local bus that goes right past the favela entrance.

Really outstanding! The rooftop view is amazing! Also very good breakfast and friendly staff. No worries about the safety there; people are helpful and fancy.
