The location is great, except climbing the mountain every time. Very close to Copacabana beach. The stuff are mostly volunteers which are super friendly & easy going. Great view from the rooftop bar. It’s very easy going place, with many activities inside the hostel & outside the hostel as well. Breakfast is great.

We could not speak more highly of Aquarela do Lome, and so glad we stayed here. The people who work there are brilliant, especially Pippa, giving lots of advice and tips, as well as generally creating a relaxed but fun vibe throughout the hostel. There is lots of space to hang out in, and the rooftop is brilliant. Rooms are super clean and bed was v comfortable. We felt super safe and the walk up the hill was no issue for us during the day and night. A 10 minute walk right onto Copacabana beach is an added bonus! We spent new years here, and they put on a great night for this too. We will be recommending this place to everyone!

Unbeatable location close to the beach. There’s enough common space to sit and socialize with a sea view. Breakfast is amazing and the staff were incredible.

Top top hostel. Cosy, clean and light rooms with lovely balcony overlooking Rio. Great breakfast every morning. Super helpful staff with all the best advice and recommendations of what to do in Rio.

Really great hostel, especially those looking for modern comforts and design. Really friendly staff. Honest and considerate - I left a (spare) phone and (expired) credit card in the room, the cleaner sent a photo to the front desk who returned it ♥️

Great stay for 1 week and my first time in Rio as a solo female traveller. loved the vibe at the hostel! Despite being in a mixed dorm, it was still quite and all the guests were very respectful. Breakfast every morning was a treat! The Staff were very helpful and always willing to answer my many questions. Despite being in/near a favela, i found it to be quite safe to walk up/down the steep hill to and from the hostel. It was a great glute workout! There was no crazy partying in the hostel which I liked, and everyone who was a guest, regardless of age, all seemed to be very cool people who were stable or in between jobs. I have never experienced something like this in other hostels that I've stayed at.

Best hostel I stayed in out of the 5 hostels I visited in Brazil! The design of the bunk beds with shelves and privacy curtains was excellent. The amazing view was such a bonus!

Best hostel I have been. It has it all. Great location, open wide spaces, very well organised rooms. Cherry on the cake the breakfast and the rooftop bar. Definitely recommended

Very good WIFI even for video calls, cool rooftop bar to relax in the evening, very friendly and helpful staff, nice decor, co-working facilities including call booths.

Great atmosphere thanks to the volunteers and all the activities planned! There were free dance lessons on the rooftop and common spaces were convenient to meet people. The best hostel we have every stayed in :) Also amazing breakfast with lots of homemade food!
