We loved The Star. The location was perfect. Our room was lovely and spotlesslu clean.. The proprietor was so helpful and went above and beyond to help us.

Lovely big shower with great wash products. Really nice tea and coffee supplies - fresh milk and Welsh cakes. Nothing in little plastic packets, which was most welcome. Nice little friendly quiet bar downstairs with good garden area.

Local to all services literally in the town centre. Room was small but not cramped. It had the nose comfortable I have ever slept in, if not for going to work I could have laid in forever. Live music in the bar finished at a sensible time, and played some great tunes. Plenty of places to eat, I opted for the Indian restaurant across the road but could have eaten in the Star. There’s a good sized car park to the rear of the place and it seem secure if leaving tools of equipment in the vehicle. All in all great place to stay.

Very friendly staff. Lovely room clean and nicely furnished. Had all the facilities. Good tea and coffee making facilities - Welsh cakes a nice touch. Right in the centre of the town. Lovely atmosphere in the micro pub bar.

Brilliant Location and beautiful, comfortable, clean rooms. It was a lovely touch that there was tea/coffee facilities left for the morning even though they do not do breakfasts (we also thought this was great as they encourage and promote local businesses for this).

We arrived and was told that our room had been taken, the man appoligised and gave us the key to "upstairs" this was a flat. The living room and kitchen was kitted out, the bedroom was clean, the bed was very comfy. The bathroom and shower was clean and tidy.
