The hotel is in an idyllic spot in the hills above Monterosso. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed being slightly detached from the busy town. It only takes about 15 mins to walk down the hill into town and there is also a shuttle bus which leaves every hour. The breakfast was nice and set us up for the day. The staff were very pleasant and my partner liked the fact it was primarily being run by women. The room was comfortable and clean.

The breakfast on the terasse is really nice! Especially with the cute little cats. There is a shuttle to go down to the beach/city centre but we mainly walked up and down since it was not that far.

The Cabana is in an old farmhouse at the top of the hill behind Monterosso. It has almost 360 degree views of the town, castle ruins, terraced hills and sea. It's a garden hideaway away from the bustle yet incredibly convenient. You can walk down an old stone road to the old town, passed ocean lookouts, a medieval castle ruin housing the municipal cemetery, lemon groves, and a winery where you can stop for a glass of wine in their lovely garden. And this is only a 10 minute walk, by the way, and then you're directly in old town Monterosso. The best part is the free hourly shuttle to take you back up (or both ways if you prefer). The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very nice and accommodating. They let us keep our car in the gated parking after we check out so we could have a few hours in town. Parking is included and secure. I'd highly recommend Cabana to anyone looking to stay in Cinque Terre away from the crowds but close to everything, and with its own sense of place and comfort.

Excellent breakfast - not buffet but made to order. Fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and eggs available - espresso coffee options as well. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Location is 1km from the old town which is an easy walk down - but better to take the shuttle back during the heat of the day.

The staff were very pleasant, curtious, an helpful. The room was Immaculate and the views were incredible. Breakfast was great, and served perfectly
