Disappointing stay, nice front bedroom, but rest of house is dark and gloomy, even on a bright sunny day. House is next to the main road into Matlock, and there's traffic noise day and night. Could hear it at the back too. Disturbed our sleep. Tiny patch of paving at the front for sitting (in full view of main road), but only one chair. We paid £160 for one night. Wouldn't stay longer.

Very clean, comfortable cottage , equipped with everything you could possibly need. We only used the large front bedroom and the bed in there was comfortable. The shower was also superb. The location of the cottage is ideal, just a short walk from 2 lovely pubs. Check in/out was smooth and straightforward.

Great communication upfront from the host. Spacious cottage, very clean, comfy beds and a good location. Would happily stay again and have no complaints. The info in the "what didn't you like" section are more FYI's for other travellers and not issues we had (as we didn't have any!)

Excellent communication from owner. We were able to arrive early which was very convenient. Lovely cottage, exceptionally clean, warm and comfy. Wonderful little touches which made our trip very special. Couldn't fault/wouldn't change anything.

Everything that you could possibly need was available, with welcome pack of tea, coffee and even wine. Beds were exceptionally comfortable.

Great location. Near enough to walk into Matlock. Cottage was very homely, well maintained and extremely well equipped to make your stay more enjoyable. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of useful information provided to help with your stay. Great pub nearby for food. Perfect for our short stay.

Beautifully appointed cottage which oozes charm and has everything needed for a perfect mini break. Martin sent information about the area and was quick to answer any message. I really do highly recommend this property .

It was a lovely comfortable spacious cosy warm clean well-equipped cottage. Nice touches such as milk and wine on arrival, the heating was on making it immediately welcoming, two log burners with logs supplied and extra you could purchase if needed. Very equipped kitchen and super comfortable beds. Very clear instructions and plenty of communication from the friendly hosts about the cottage, arrival and departure and about things to do locally. An excellent choice of holiday home
