Private parking is available in our secure car-park, which holds up to 85 cars. From the moment I arrived, the doorman was so courteous and helpful, I arrived early so was unable to check in immediately, but explained I was attending a meeting. The reception quickly took my details and luggage for storage, and advised when I returned that I could collect my room key. The Manager and all staff in the bar were wonderful and very welcoming, and the cocktails were amazing. I look forward to my return.

Public areas are poor for a 5 star hotel. Service at breakfast was haphazard and substandard

Room, check in and checkout were good. But….. breakfast wasn’t a 5 star experience. Eggs Royal brought before I had finished my cereal and it was cold, plates not cleared from our table when we had finished our cereal or when we had finished our cooked breakfast…I had to leave my seat to find a waiter to clear them . No butter for toast on the table. Again I had to find a waiter to ask him to bring butter. We had better service recently at a 4 star hotel in the Yorkshire Dales.

Reception team were friendly and efficient. Really liked the extra touch of calling the room after check in to check we were happy with the room and if we needed anything. The only thing that changed my score from a 10 to an 8 was the arrival at the restaurant for breakfast, 4 staff members walking around and we not acknowledged until the door host came from out the back. The same thing happened to another 3 guests that came in once we had been seated. It felt a little disorganised.

Excellent stay! Welcoming staff on arrival called Erick. Really went above and beyond. Little touches like upgrading our room and chocolates with a happy birthday message as it was my husbands 40th.
