Breakfast was excellent with great staff. Dinner was at the Mayoral Ball where service was very slow but food good. Our room was adequate but no full length hanging space for dresses (not even long enough for a dinner suit!) and hard furniture in room was 'tacky' with lots of sharp edges where the embossed foil covering had been bent back by previous occupants. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable (like the seating in the lounge areas!) and the coffee bags (when you eventually managed to break open the packaging) produced vey weak coffee. We have stayed at the Clifton on a number of occasions over the last fifteen years attending and / or organising numerous functions including holding our wedding reception there in 2017 and I am afraid that, with the exception of some of the long serving staff, the quality for which the Clifton was formerly renowned appears to have been dropped in favour of trendiness - it is becoming just another overpriced hotel.

We visit the Clifton Arms regularly during day trips to Lytham and have stayed overnight previously. As expected, all aspects of the service were excellent. Our requirements were met completely. We wish to extend particular appreciation to Bev whose customer service skills were exceptional. We will continue to make this hotel one of our “go-to” places. Thank you to everyone

Hotel was lovely and very sociable. The ladies looking after us on the breakfast were so lovely and breakfast was Delicious. Onl hotel was too hot had to ask for a fan. Great location and nice piano player on Saturday evening. Will definitely return.

The room was large enough for 2, very clean,good sized bathroom and plenty of towels We went to see Aled Jones at the theatre and hotel only a 4 minute walk away
