I wish I could leave a 10/10 review for this hotel. The structure itself is beautiful, like an oasis in a busy city, the staff was very lovely and accommodating and the room was very nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The bed is possibly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever “slept” on but unfortunately the fact remains that we did not get a good night of sleep at all. From 1AM until about 3/4AM there was a power outage. Because the aircon was off during that time, the room got very hot very quickly. Also the aircon fan is quite loud but we realised that was the lesser of two evils as it cancelled out all the street noise. Once it got turned off, the street suddenly became extremely loud, club music played all night (Friday night) with a base so loud and low that we could hear it even with ear plugs. Also we got a room on the street where cars seem to love racing late at night. At 4AM, when the aircon turned back on and muted all the outdoor noise, we finally got some sleep - and for those few hours we did sleep well. I am not sure whether ours was just an unfortunate circumstance but I would highly suggest to ask for a room far away from the street and hope for no power outage.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax. The location is beautiful and peaceful, with a lovely garden and swimming pool that make for a relaxing atmosphere. The staff (reception, restaurant, housekeeping) were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was a really pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to unwind.

The Southern Ridgeway is a high end hotel with excellent facilities. The staff were exceptional especially the manager Ross. An excellent base for exploring Lusaka.
