This place is stunning. I loved everything. The entire staff was wonderful, breakfast right at the Meckong river was as fantastic as the entire place itself. I absolutely recommend On The Meckong Resort. Thank you so much.

really cool hotel with a very Laotian feel! Staff are very friendly and the owner is nice too! They offer a free shuttle into town at anytime. Rooms were really clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was really good and the view of the Mekong a lovely addition to it. Only slight drawback was contacting reception, would be good to have a phone or WhatsApp service. However we had a great time and loved the town I’d highly suggest staying here it’s different to any of the hotels around!

What an amazing resort, best sunset over the Mekong! Once we learnt the history of each individual house, it was even more special. We booked for three nights and ended up extending our stay to 7 nights. The staff were exceptionally lovely, as was the owner Henry! Definitely recommend staying there. 😀

Everything. The ambience, the staff, the little extras like furniture placed in all the right places around the property . Last of all the spectacular sunsets every evening !The boss Henry who is fully informed of the area . The trips from the resort were well timed and perfect .

Location - the sunsets over the river were wonderful. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful. The buildings and setting were extraordinary - a mix of historic with modern comforts. Easy to get to Luang Prabang but we enjoyed the walk each day. Lao pottery house was directly opposite over the river - we spent a morning at this location which was fantastic.

Everything. Second time of staying on our current Laos/Vietnam trip and we were warmly welcomed back. Henry and his team are so lovely. It is like staying with a family rather than at a business. Breakfast is outstanding!

From the moment you step through the door of the resort you enter Henry’s (the owner)world of peace and tranquility. Henry and his team have created such a special place with a relaxing vibe and aura. It’s taken some imagination, thought and skill to put this rustic quirky place together, so congrats to all involved. The team are helpful and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts are freshly prepared and are changed daily to ensure variety. The free shuttle service into LP works well, with only a few minutes wait for the van to arrive, a tuk tuk back costs 2-3$. The pool is a good size, great for either relaxing or exercising if you feel the need. There’s a mini mart across the road if you need anything over and above what the resort can provide. So nothing new here, just confirming what other reviewers have said. What’s not to like !

A very rustic but comfortable place with spacious gardens and fabulous views over the mekong. The old traditional lao houses made it feel like living in a village and all the old furniture and artefacts made it feel like a museum. The dinner we had there was delicious and the breakfasts were abundant and delicious. The staff were always friendly and did their best to make our stay a happy and memorable one. We really enjoyed our chats with the owner and nee, the manager.

Its worth it just to eat breakfast overlooking the Mekong, or to watch the sunset over the river while drinking a beer. The rooms are correct and there are many different styles of room to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful, plus the hotel provides a free ride into the centre of Luang Prabang in the evening (you have to make your own way back). If its too hot, there's always the swimming pool.

The hotel is really close to the mekong river, the room is confortable, breakfast is good and the reception team are very simpathic.
