The fine print
Mavro Cafe (not operated by The Hosteller) serves vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian options. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes. Cafe operates only for limited hours. Visitor Timing : 9AM to 9PM. Non resident guests shall not be allowed beyond the common areas (most definitely not inside the guest rooms). We kindly request guests to refrain from drug, alcohol use. Violators will be promptly asked to leave and permanently blacklisted. We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room. Allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability until the time of check-in. Certain amenities like locks, bath kits, and towels are pay-as-you-go, allowing lower room prices and catering to diverse traveler preferences. Toiletries are charged extra for the guest in the dorm room. Right to admission is reserved. Guests are responsible for any damage except wear and tear and shall maintain room hygiene. Any form of misconduct towards fellow travellers, whether male or female, will result in immediate check-out from the premises. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, harassment, physical intimidation, or any inappropriate behavior that disrupts the comfort, safety, or wellbeing of others. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management. Parking is subject to availability.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Clean, Hip and fun hostel located perfectly close to the market. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Food was pretty good as well.

Economically priced. Comfy beds. Well maintained. Volunteer Zaid was very helpful in planning a good itinerary. Could cover almost all the places in 3 days.

Great place, great food, great staff, I played cricket with them as well, Zaid was the coordinator there who was quite helpful. All in all I would recommend this place over any hostel in bir and I have been bir 5-6 times.

I had an unforgettable experience at this hostel! The location is ideal, just a short walk from the local market, making it super convenient for all your essentials. The food was delicious, with the English breakfast and Indian thali being absolute must-tries, and the service was excellent. The staff, particularly Abhi and Lucky, were incredibly helpful and hilarious, making my stay even more enjoyable with their friendly company. Manager Rajeev was calm, professional, and softly spoken—a true gem who also gave great recommendations for places to visit nearby. The hostel has an adorable dog named Lily, who’s mastered every trick to score a snack—she’s definitely a highlight! They organize thrilling activities like paragliding and local tours, plus they assist with scooty rentals if you want to explore on your own. Just across the hostel, there’s a handy essentials store, and right above it, a snooker junction with a scenic mountain view, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. I also met wonderful people during my stay, making this the best hostel experience I’ve had, with a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Staying at The Hosteller Bir felt like finding a home away from home. The staff, especially Rajeev and Jassi, were incredibly welcoming and made sure all my needs were met. They are the heart and soul of this place, always ready with a smile and eager to help with recommendations or any assistance required. The hostel itself is very spacious, with plenty of open areas where guests can relax, socialize, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bir. The rooms are good – clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!!
