Great location for a time when you want to calm down from the city vibes. Very cozy and traditional place. The food is very generous and amazing, they accommodate any food preferences. Staff is very sweet. The onsen is great. Free tea in the room.

It was perfect. Beautiful breakfast and dinner and I mean it was BEAUTIFUL. Lake Shoji is very quiet and tranquil compared to Lake Kawaguchi. The rooms offer unobstructed view of Mt Fuji.

You pay for the views of the mountain!! It’s a stunning view in the morning and in the evening. The traditional sleeping was actually comfortable, the room was very spacious and I liked the vibe of it. I think it is a family business and the owners had limited English but were very welcoming and nice. The food was delicious too! & the private onsen was a great experience!!

Hotel has a great view of Mount Fuji. There’s private onsen free for guests. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

It is a very traditional ryokan run by a family whereby you can feel very at-home. The private onsen use of once per stay for 30 mins was excellent but we didn’t manage to see Mount Fuji. Wish it was like 45 minutes. Quite a rush session for us. The food was a bit cold but I believe that how a Kaiseki is supposed to be. Tasted good. The view from the room is to die for! Location is very remote and quiet which we enjoyed and was within expectations.

Mouth watering dinner. 2 sessions of private onsen bookable at no additional charge. The view of Mt. Fuji and the lake was superb in the morning. Free parking.
