First, free and frequent shuttle service to and from the train/bus station. Second, typical, meticulous and warm Japanese hospitality offered all along. Third, very comfortable bedding provided on tatami. Four, a sumptuous dinner and comfortable spa are provided too (not to mention the free coffee). Finally, a stunning and rather close -up view of Mt Fuji on its roof top, coupled with sunny weather, just make the stay so perfect!

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the private onsen was great! The view of Mt Fuji was amazing from the rooftop, which had a foot onsen. The breakfast and dinner were unparalleled, definitely a superb experience!

The onsen was wonderful the best we've seen in Japan, with a large basin, a jacuzzi, a basin for reclining, an outdoor basin and a cold plunge pool. The facilities were exeptional. The bedroom was spacious and had an adjacent living room. There was a large balcony with a lovely view right on the lake. There was also a lounge for coffee and the buffet breakfast was very good and plentiful.

The hotel is beautiful. We had such a relaxing stay. I would recommend both dinner and breakfast it is a complete Japanese experience. We only booked one night due to the price, but I wish it could have been longer.

The rooms are unusually spacious and traditional. We had lake view, which I imagine is beautiful in better weather. Comfortable futon beds. It was cool that we had a bath in the room and the onsen was ok, especially the outdoor part. We booked the private onsen for the evening but that was money in the wind because it only features one small indoor pool, something we pretty much had in the room. It was advertised to have a great view of Mt Fuji, but even if the mountain wasn’t obscured by clouds that day, it would be pretty much impossible to enjoy the view due to the fence in front of the pool. The kaiseki dinner was very generous and featured some pretty nice dishes but also some not so great (it might be a matter of personal taste though). Pleasant hotel but the price is way too high for what one gets (we stayed in Asakusa, Tokyo before this, where we enjoyed the best onsen ever and a number of other great perks for a fraction of the cost).
