The 2 best features are definitely the view and the staff. The view is amazing from all rooms, there is a steep hill from the town to the hotel but you don’t get the view without the climb. Only a 5 - 10 minute walk into town or a short tuk tuk ride, so really convenient and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The staff were really helpful and friendly and when we arrived 5 hours later than planned, they sent a car to pick us up from the train station. Breakfast was a good selection but a bit chaotic when eggs/hoppers are cooked to order….on more than one occasion we were brought someone else’s food.

An amazing place right next to a massive jungle area. Very unusual and felt like we were guests in a beautiful house. The staff were amazing and looked after us so well. We ate in the hotel and the food was some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka We went for a three hour jungle hike with a guide and loved every minute of it . Rooms were very cool and quirky , lots of hot water and comfortable beds. That was a good fan in the bedroom and because the property is high, there was no need for air-conditioning. No mosquitoes either!
