Great location, walkable to Ella centre ( if you go via the train tracks!). Nice roof terrace and excellent views for breakfast. Our hosts sorted laundry for us and made that very easy as well as sorting tuk tuk rides for us.

Super nice place held by a nice Sri Lankan family. It has a really spectacular view on the surroundings, waking in the morning was magic. The hosts are super helpful and accommodating.

Amazing view! Very helpfull and friendly host. Very good breakfast. Perfect place for exploring Ella. Very good price for what you get. Host was so friendly and helpfull with everything we asked. Couldnt have had a better stay here, truly perfect. Host even checked for us if the sunrise was good. If not he wouldve let us sleep but it was beautyfull so he woke us up! Perfect.

Secret View is one of the best home stay experiences we had in Sri Lanka. Breathtaking views. Perched above the train tracks looking across at Ella’s Rock, Little Adam’s Peak and a waterfall. Sit on the swing and watch sunrise or the misty clouds passing. You have two viewpoints of the iconic train going by as well. It’s magic! The space is a perfect base for exploring Ella + surrounding areas. Private balcony. Well equipped room: plenty of space and comfy seating. Extra blankets. Bed was comfy. Fan, hairdryer and TV should you need it. A fridge with cheap drinks if you’d like to buy. What makes this place most special is Namal and his family. They were the kindest, caring and helpful people. The epitome of Sri Lankan warmth. They welcomed us with open, warm hearts. Great communication over WhatsApp. Helped us book a cooking class (Matey Hut - highly recommend). Made time to check in with us for advice and local tips. Delicious breakfasts. Tuktuk lifts to/from the town which they wouldn’t take payment for. They went above and beyond to make sure I was ok when I felt unwell. I can’t say enough good things about Secret View and Namal + his family. Experiences like these are memories for a lifetime 💕

This was the best experience we had in Sri Lanka. The room is exactly as it looks in the picture with hot water for shower. But the view from the balcony/room is astonishing to the Ella rock, Adam’s pick as well as the Ravana waterfall (no need to even hike to see the sun rise). Namal and his family were great hosts and offered us a lot (he picked us up even from the station with no charge, a great breakfast at a very fair price and they really go above and beyond). We 100% recommend this place.

Amazing hosts, very friendly and rooms are spacious and many extra’s are there for your convenience, even a small fridge which is filled! Homestay is a bit further from Ella center, but an adventurous walk alongside the train tracks will get you there in approx 10 minutes. Ella is a wonderful to place to stay for 2-3 nights. We loved the breakfast at this homestay with amazing views of Ella Rock, highly recommended!
