Beautifully restored Victorian guesthouse.. Very nice rooms of a high standard. Lovely breakfasts. Good location for buses into the city..Jimmy particularly friendly and helpful..Jimmy and Fiona making the time to say goodbye.

Staff very welcoming. Breakfasts amazing with lots of choice. Location within 30 mins walk of Edinburgh City Centre, on a bus route with regular bus service. Room stocked with teas, coffee etc and a mini fridge which was a bonus.

Room lovely and clean, great welcome from Jimmy, excellent choice at breakfast and quality ingredients. Easy to walk about a mile into Edinburgh or excellent bus service right outside, plenty of buses back to the hotel too

Glenalmond House is a super B&B to stay. I highly recommend it. We had a large room for our family. It was a bit tight but the room was very well planned. For example, it had a wonderful window area where you could relax in the armchair, read or look at the trees. The little fridge and the kettle became very handy for our stay. The lounge downstairs is very nice and always available or guests. The breakfast room is lovely and we had our own table (this is not always the case at B&Bs). A really nice breakfast it was, plenty to choose from, to meet all tastes and needs. We liked the host very much. He is a cheerful, nice chap, very helpful. The location of Glenalmond House is convenient for taking a short bus ride to the centre, the old town and the railway station. If you are sporty you can also walk to the paths that lead to Arthur's Seat . An interesting detail is that you could order the cab by pressing just one button in the lounge. It worked, and we enjoyed the most fantastic journey in a spacious modern black city cab owned by a co-operation of taxi drivers.

Really Nice house and very nice rooms. We even had a small patio. Saw some sqirrels. Very friendly hosts. Breakfast options were great. Easy access to the city by bus.
