Overlooking gardens, this Victorian house is just a mile (1.6 km) from the centre of Edinburgh.
Originally built in 1860 and retaining many original features, Duthus Lodge is now a family-run guest house with free Wi-Fi. All rooms have flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities.

It is a very beautiful, old style place with soul. Really polite and helpful stuff. Guest house with big, cosy, comfortable rooms and beds. Pretty close to the city center and trams which can take you to the airport. Nice neighbourhood.

The room was really nice. The room was spacious and had all the necessary facilities. Had complimentary coffee and tea. And the location is good too cause you can get the bus to the city center easily.

It is right next to bus stop, so good to drive to airport. You can even walk to the city centre (takes about 30 minutes). It was very quiet, with big bed and hospitable host.

The room was just as pictured and very lovely. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. We booked the two double beds in the same room and loved how stately it looked. The view was of the main road but you couldn't hear the traffic. The buses were frequent and the stop was a two minute walk. Although you are only a two minute walk into town. Would definitely stay again!

The manager David was extremely helpful and hospitable. He made sure the room was warm for our arrival and provided lots of useful advice re transport etc. our room was very comfortable - comfortable beds and a good shower. The room was a good size with nice touches such as an armchair, a towel rack, dressing table and tissues. The guest house is quiet - away from the noise and the bustle of the centre of Edinburgh but only a short bus ride from the city. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety to choose from.
