Only guests checked into the guest house may sleep there. Guests cannot allow others to stay in their room overnight.Rooms are cleaned between 10:00 and 15:00.If you arrive after 21:00, Balmore House will add an additional cost to your bill.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Both myself and my son had a wonderful stay. Our room was number 27, situated in the property directly opposite the main hotel. Our room was lovely, really clean, spacious, comfy beds, nice big tv, great shower, it had everything we needed. The location of the hotel is excellent, it's about a 15 minute walk from the end of Princes Street. There are bus stops at the end of the street that take you right into the city centre, the castle or to anywhere you want to go. The area the hotel is located in is really nice it has many eating establishments ranging from artisan bakeries to chicken shops and also plenty of mini supermarkets, you're spoilt for choice! We will be definitely returning to the Balmore and we highly recommend it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

spacious room with 2 Queen sized beds. Nice toilet & bath with bathroom necesities. Bed and pillows were comfy. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Good value for money, quite a few minutes from Royal Mile, easily accesible by bus or Uber taxi. Room is clean.

Nice house, clean and comfortable. Many buses near by, easy commute around the city. Very easy check in and out. Friendly staff and good communication prior to my stay.

The locations was good, and good value for money. However, the bed was uncomfortable, the mattress was too old and had a deep indentation on the middle which made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. Pillowcases had hair on them and in the shower had some used shower gel covers left. Mugs had stain on it. I agree it was cheap. But I think cleanliness is a basic expectation out of everything and it can not be ignored.
