The fine print
Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

Great location and stay. Has everything you need there. I will say, I booked it because it stated in booking.com that the room includes breakfast and it doesn’t. Also the wifi isn’t great and the electrics too, took over 4 hours to change 1 bar of my battery pack and I couldn’t download anything from Netflix for the bus journey.

Usually Im very happy with the viajero Hostels, because of your little kid of cabins you have in their dorms with the curtains. Unfortunately, I stayed in a dorm, where there were no curtains nor lamps directly in your bed. Beside that bathrooms, activities and food was good!

This was one of the nicest hostels I've been to. The atmosphere is great, lots of social activities. They offer great tours to the historical sites. The staff were super helpful.

Really lovely hostel to stay at, great atmosphere, lots of room types to choose from, wonderful space, easily help you with booking tours and any other requests, great food and drinks, quick service. Clean, tidy.. great events every day, security is great, feels very safe.. Elvira at check in desk wonderful and welcoming, very helpful, Ever who organises the events is a very nice guy really welcoming and friendly. Mollie also very polite and attentive when taking orders and greeting you in the mornings, Edmondo in charge of all Securty, always happy to welcome you and keep you safe! Can’t wait to stay again. Have booked up viajero in Lima as I now trust the brand :) From Ryan

I stayed in Room 101 right by the reception. It had 4 Double beds with blackout curtains and storage inside each of them!! Perfect for a long stay. Good breakfast selection but very loud music at night at the bar outside. I’d personally turned down a notch and to be fair when I asked, they did! All the staff were just incredible! I can’t remember all their names but Jair and Yuri have been very helpful.
