The guesthouse is located about 1 km from the road, access is possible on a gravel road, I assume only when there is no rain or other precipitation that directly affects the possibility of maneuvering. It is located in a quiet place, right in the forest, so the network of mobile operators is not available either. In other words, an ideal place to detox from connectivity with the civilized world :) Both on the terrace and in the rooms, wi-fi connection is available via password. The guesthouse also has a restaurant, so you will have the opportunity to have dinner or breakfast. Walking around in the evening is not recommended, as bears are often seen in the area. The guesthouse also has security - 3 cups of Carpathian breed, gentle with the people who want to pet and give them something to eat, although they don't seem to be hungry by any means, being quite corpulent.

The idyllic setting, combined with the cabin's charming character, makes it an ideal retreat for families seeking a peaceful getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the picturesque location. The cabin offers breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, and the terrace provides a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The cabin's interior is cozy and inviting, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The homemade food served at Barlogul din Vidraru was simply delicious. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing the fresh, local ingredients and the chef's skill. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout our stay. For families with children, the cabin offers a variety of activities. The bouncing bouncer was a big hit with our kids, providing hours of entertainment. The nearby leisure pontoon with boats, kayaks, and canoes is perfect for exploring the surrounding waters and enjoying the beauty of nature. Overall, our experience at Barlogul din Vidraru Cabin was exceptional. The combination of the stunning location, delicious food, and friendly staff made it a memorable vacation for our family. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway in Romania.

Beautiful location with just the calm sounds of a small spring. Very friendly hosts family and super tasty menu. Ping pong and trampoline for kids. Just few minutes drive from our best experience in Romania!! canoe on Vidraru lake: single or double or triple (we took) and enjoy the nature❤️

Fantastic location, staff were great and very understanding, especially after we had a rough day and we struggled a bit due to traffic and bears to arrive to the location. Once arrived time stopped and staff were just great and very welcoming.

A nice guesthouse located in the lower part of the Transfăgărășan. It's in the forest, accessible via a short gravel road. Making for a beautiful and peaceful setting. The room was good, and the terrace offered a great spot to relax. The staff was very friendly, and the guesthouse was a perfect stopover on my motorcycle trip. Overall, a great experience!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great outside terrace to enjoy your meal (food is delicious and prices are average) Even though due to quite remote location in woods and between mountains - property has fast and stable WiFi. P.S. You can find bears in just 7-10 minutes walking distance from hotel. However hotel location is more than safe as it is guarded by dogs.
