We chose this hotel to visit the Christmas Markets and we couldn't have picked better. The main Heinzels Winter Fairytale market was right outside the hotel and the one at Cologne Cathedral was a few minutes walk away. All the other markets around Cologne were easy to visit due to great transport links. The public areas of the hotel were clean and comfortable and the restaurant for breakfast was spacious with enough choice to make it worthwhile to have breakfast included in the price. We were leaving really early on our last day so would miss the breakfast but the hotel was happy to make up a bag with rolls, fruit and a drink to take with us to the airport. The staff were lovely and really helpful when asking for information about the markets we wanted to visit. Our twin room was huge and I think it was for disabled visitors (which we weren't) and in a really quiet location on the 3rd floor. The beds were comfortable and I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending this hotel for people wishing to visit for the Christmas Markets.

Location of the hotel was excellent. Close to lots of places of interest, plenty of places to eat and drink in and around the market place. Hotel has a great cafe which serves food and drink all day. Staff were excellent and very friendly. They couldn’t do enough for us.

The location was absolutely the best part of this hotel - it is immediately outside of where the Christmas Market was held in an absolutely stunning area. Just steps away from the cathedral.
