The room/suite was fantastic. Only issue we had was that despite the heating being off, it was a bit too warm for us. We tried cracking open the window, but it was windy which made it noisy. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and the ingredients were obviously of high quality

Junior suite 2 nights. Excellent location and accommodation. Room was warm, clean and has a lovely south facing view. Breakfast was included and very tasty. You can order what you want off the menu. The pub / restaurant has a good menu and food, staff and service were great during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Everything. The ambience; the size, fittings and styling of our room; the room location and view; the personable attitude of staff - friendly, welcoming and professional; the quality of breakfast provision (the dinner menu was also hugely tempting but we were at an evening function).

We had a late Sunday lunch/ early supper which was lovely. Breakfast in the morning was great too.

We have been to the View a number of times and on every occasion they have always exceeded our expectations. Accommodation, food and service is absolutely fantastic. The view is wonderful, so peaceful.

Wow! You walk from the upper car park (not knowing that there’s a lower one right by the rooms if it’s your first stay) then have to walk back again and down to the lower car park with your bags….but Melanie in reception said ‘you won’t be disappointed!’ She was not wrong!!!! What a fabulous room!! We could seriously have lived there!! The view is gorgeous - utterly tranquil, with sheep going in and out of the fields just over the wall! The bed was huge and very comfortable, the sitting area also extremely comfortable and generous in size, and the bathroom (we asked for one that would definitely have a walk in shower rather than over/bath) was as large as our kitchen! All fittings and furnishings were of the highest quality. There’s a ‘drinks area’ which has a fridge, in which there was still and sparkling water and fresh milk. Plenty of teabags and coffee. We only wish we could have stayed another night! The food in the White Horse is good. We don’t eat red meat and were able to eat quite easily. Definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

Beautiful setting. Really tranquil The rooms were huge , clean airy and bright. Best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time! Ate in the pub restaurant, plenty of wonderful dishes to choose from on the menu and had a very tasty meal . Couldn’t fault our stay in any way.
