The price we paid for the facilities provided is absolutely value for money. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. They catered to our every request. We did not have a car, so they provided shuttle service to nearby locations and also to Ricadi train station.

The hotel staff was very helpful (though the restaurant staff was less so). The cleaning ladies were nice, regularly cleaned, and replenished supplies. The breakfast was average, with the quality of the juice, coffee, and water being rather poor. It would be good to change the breakfast options occasionally. After a week, you can't even look at the same food anymore. Even though you have to wait a long time for your room upon arrival, it was the best welcome we've ever had (a drink, fruit) and good information upon arrival. The rooms were small and dark, but apart from the fluctuating water temperature in the shower and the lack of soundproofing, everything was fine.

The vacation in La Bussola Hotel worths it on so many levels! First of all, it was our first trip to Italy, we had no experience and actually no idea what is the better option/region/place to stay. Everything we wanted a vacation near the sea, so a good beach was a priority, not far from some city, cleanliness and a good view. And fortunately we’ve chosen the La Bussola so got everything we wanted and even more. Yes, it was not on beach itself and not in the center of Tropea - that’s something we were worried about before coming here, but it wasn’t a problem at all, as it is still close to the seaside and it takes just a few minutes to get there by car, or especially with the transfer provided by the hotel, it is very convenient and easy, the bus is modern and the driver is very nice! The room was clean (big appreciation to the ladies in charge of that, they were extremely nice and did everything just perfectly, loved them!), if you pay for the room with sea view you’ll get a very beautiful sunsets every evening. The room has a fridge with few bottles of free water and actually everything you need for a basic stay - towels, soap and shower gel/shampoo, hairdryer and AC. Wi-Fi is very good, which is a rare thing for hotels) The area of the hotel is very nice! It’s well maintained, a lot of greenery, fruits, free access to the pool (which appeared to be also not a very common thing for other hotels) and free parking. The pool is just a piece of free paradise!) Also there is a restaurant with very delicious food, live music and perfect service! As we were concerned about our free time and activities it was very helpful, because you can go and have fun any time at evening , just down the stairs (but if you want some peace it is also not a problem, the sounds from the restaurant isn’t that loud and you can barely hear it from the rooms).

Staff is amazingly professional from the first to the last contact. Very knowable, nice and willing to help. One can see that the training and systems are on point. But, above all, the people! All the details in the common areas are precious. Pool and lounge area are awesome. Safe and in the shade parking. Shuttles to the beach. Restaurant is modern and looks very good. Breakfast is good! I travel 8-10 times per year in Europe and this was probably one of the best services that I ever had.
